Al Reilly’s Catalyst won’t be performing tonight at Karla’s Roadhouse in Scarborough after all, as the eponymous singer is in North York General Hospital today recovering after suffering an apparent stroke last night.
According to a posting on Facebook by Catalyst guitarist Earl Johnson earlier today, Reilly had performed a couple of tunes with a band Johnson was part of at a gig last night and left the club seeming fine.
Neither Reilly nor his wife, Brenda Elaine, could be reached for more details.
On both their Facebook pages prayers and well-wishes were streaming in throughout the day.
Karla’s, at 4630 Kingston Rd., announced earlier that the band Mojo Mayhem will fill in for Reilly’s band tonight.
