A large crowd of fellow musicians, fans, family and friends of the late Brian Maxim gathered 3-7 on Sat. July 27 at Birchmount Tavern in Scarborough to remember the affable and fun-loving Rock singer and songwriter.
As reported earlier, Brian passed away July 12 after a long battle with cancer.
The crowd included members of bands he was part of, including MOXY, Stumblin’ Blind and the Classic Albums Live troupe. Several participants took to a microphone on the stage to talk about their reminiscences of Brian and some also performed tunes in his honour.
A slide show projected pictures of Brian from various aspects of his life onto a huge screen next to the stage while music from the bands he was part of as well as tracks from his own Maxim cd played. A sumptuous buffet was laid out and people mingled exchanging memories and catching up with one another till well after the 7 p.m. scheduled ending.
