\ TO CENTRAL \
You can’t get much more focused at an open mic with a theme than having it be “music” and that is exactly what host and songwriter Lynn Harrison is doing tonight for a special one-time Tuesday edition of her monthly series The Bridge. (As regular readers will know, it normally takes place on a Wednesday.)
Of course, her approach to the open mic goes beyond music to include spoken word, performance art and pretty much anything someone wants to bring to the stage at the monthly 7:30-10:30 no-cover soirees in the Imperial Pub at 54 Dundas St. E. in the heart of downtown TO.
So maybe a poet will read a work about music, or perhaps even a mime will do a routine mimicking a musician at work —who knows? Because the stage is wide open and that’s part of the charm of the event —along with the lovely and exquisitely talented host herself, of course!
