\ TO CENTRAL \
As the summer solstice is upon us this evening songwriter Lynn Harrison will once again celebrate the longest day of the year with a special evening of interdisciplinary artists for the third anniversary show tonight for her monthly “The Bridge” series of open mics.
But in addition to that benchmark celebration, tonight’s edition, for which the theme is “Beauty,” also takes place in a new venue after nearly two years at Imperial Pub following a debut series in June of 2015 at Tranzac Club.
I haven’t visited the newish Super Wonder Gallery at 584 College Street, just east of Clinton Ave., but from what I can discern it appears to be a room designed with putting on performances top-of-mind. That should fit well with the mix of songwriters, poets, authors and dancers who usually take part in these eclectic evenings, as we told you exactly one year ago for the second anniversary show and in previous articles.
There’s no fixed cover charge (pay what you can) and sign-up for the 7:30 kickoff begins at 7 p.m.
