\ SCARBOROUGH \
The weekly Sunday afternoon jam that the late Mike Murphy had been fronting for the past few months with his new band The Repairmen today will be a memorial to the affable and exquisitely talented guitar player that should see a panoply of excellent performers from Scarborough and beyond taking part.
It happens starting at 2 p.m. in the Birchmount Tavern at 462 Birchmount Rd. at Danforth Rd. following a 10-11 a.m. visitation and 11-12 funeral service at Pine Hills Cemetery at 625 Birchmount Rd. north of St. Clair Ave. E.
As mentioned previously, the family has asked that moneys donated to an online “In Memory of Mike Murphy” memorial fund originally set up to help cover funeral costs, be directed instead to the Regent Park School of Music.
