\ SCARBOROUGH \
Lately it’s been very frustrating for me trying to find out who plays when at the Newfoundlander Tavern at 472 Danforth Rd. at Birchmount Ave. in Scarborough of late.
It appears these days they have bands on Fridays and Sundays and that both nights might be jams, but the venue nowadays pretty much leave it up to the groups on stage to do all promotion. Its Facebook group is seldom up to date these days (at one time it was) and I only time seem to hear of anything going on when someone invites me through their event.
Luickily today’s jam host is a group with two members who do appreciate being listed in TorontoMoon.ca, namely frontman veteran guitarist Andy Walsh (whom I thought was retired from the scene but who is apparently ready to give things another go) and drummer Frank Russell, whose pedigree is as immense as it is impressive.
With singer Rick Coombes also on board, the group did a “comeback” show last night in Sutton so should be all set to deliver some killer classic Rock and Blues-Rock as hosts of the 8-12 jam tonight.
