\ TO EAST \
The Julian Taylor Band isn’t performing for the finale of the Taste of The Danforth festival this year, as it has a couple of times previously, but will be doing another east-end outdoor concert earlier in the day instead.
The group is soaring these days as tracks from Taylor’s latest Desert Star double album are getting airplay and industry notice and he’s in demand at festivals and clubs and special events across the country, having made several excursions east, west and north already this summer.
But this afternoon the East York resident will appear close to home on the outdoor bandshell stage at Kew Gardens, 2075 Queen St. E. in the Beaches area, from 2-4 for a free show as part of the local BIA’s Music In The Park summer Sunday series. Enjoy this group for free while you still can!
