Talk about being pros! First song into the Fraser-Daley set at Winterfolk on Fri. Feb. 15, Alec Fraser‘s ‘s bass exploded with a crack like thunder as the bridge came off and made it unplayable except for the percussion drum he had attached. Fortunately, Al Duffy was on hand and lent Alec a bass and the set resumed -only to have guitarist Mike Daley break not one but two strings in the next song! Alec improv’d on the bass a bit and soon Mike was back in action and they ended up getting the whole room singing along. You kids at home listen up: that’s how pros handle adversity!
