Winter always gets a little warmer this time of year in the little part of west Toronto known as The Junction. That’s because once a year Dave McManus, the bass player and band leader known as “The Mayor Of The Junction” by his musical buddies in the area, celebrates his birthday with a bash that always includes scads of friends performing with whichever band he’s running at the time.
This year it’s his new Junction City All-Stars (also featuring guitarist Les Hoffman and singer Nicole Dunn) and the party is tonight, Sat. Jan. 26, at The Hole In The Wall at 2867 Dundas St. W. at Keele.
