Though it’s been around since the days when there were separate entrances for Men and for Ladies & Escorts and is thought of, incorrectly, by many folks as a “dive”, East York’s Eton House is making a strong effort to show it’s about more than its ancient exterior would suggest.

The room offers live bands a couple nights a week and Sat. and Sun. afternoons. Today the tavern at 710 Danforth Ave a block east of Pape brings in big-sound band Robbie Lane & The Disciples for a 5-8 show. There’s a small cover charge in effect.
