As the graphic posted in her York Region Open Mics group on Facebook by Steffi Postol Goodfield so poignantly expresses, many regularly scheduled open mics and other music shows have been cancelled tonight so that those who fancy watching a bunch of millionaires in short pants run around a gym chasing a bouncing ball can get their fix.  So be it.  I’ve generally erred on the side of caution, eliminating shows that are likely (based on past club history) to be cancelled as well as those definitely cancelled.  Hopefully if you head out to one you don’t end up disappointed.  And hopefully at least OUR millionaires in short pants triumph over the other guys, so we can be around happy people at least.
