A compelling performer and absorbing songwriter, Myke Mazzei first came to my attention as the sideman of first choice for artist and songstress Sharron Katz. In December I was also lucky enough to have him visit me at the open stage I was running, when we got to really hear his own impressive material.

continues to rise and yesterday he hosted what by all accounts (on Facebook) was a very successful afternoon of song at the Full Of Beans coffee emporium in west TO, where he mostly seems to pop up on stages in various rooms.
Tonight he’s downtown at C’est What on Front St., however, doing the 8:30 kick-off set for a cavalcade of artists (also including Jessica Stuart of the Jessica Stuart Few) helping celebrate Ryan Ayukawa’s birthday. Cover charge isn’t listed but it’s probably pwyc. -17
