Seb is still Seb and not fade away
>>> As he continues to recover from a series of surgical procedures he underwent last year, you won’t hear iconoclastic protest songwriter and versatile guitar player Sebastian Agnello playing with his band for a little while yet, which is a shame for his legion of fans across the GTA and beyond. His voice is fine but one operation has left him still unable to handle holding his trademark Les Paul guitar for a full night’s show and if you know Seb you also know he’s not about to compromise when it comes to his choice of six-string weaponry. (Or about much else really, but that’s another story!)
The good news however, that he’s still doing a Monday nights 9:30-2 open stage residency at the Black Swan Tavern on Danforth near Broadview, and those who appreciate his trenchant and often sharply witty songs will be glad to know he looks and sounds just fine, performing an acoustic set to kick things off as well as usually a tune or two in between open stage acts. -Gary 17, www.torontomoon.ca
