Robbie Lane & The Disciplines can make staycation weekend special
/TORONTO NORTH/
So you’re stuck at home for the long weekend (just as well perhaps, given how chilly it was yesterday, and especially last night) and have a pocketful of cash that you didn’t spend going away.
You can get that getaway feeling this afternoon by dropping in to the former Chick ‘n’ Deli, nowadays, under a new owner (who I’m told was the original chef who made the place famous for its wings back in the day), known as Seven44, to catch up with Robbie Lane & The Disciples.
This big band does all the old classic Rock and R&B tunes, delivering them showband style with horns and stage moves and great vocals.
Show runs 5-8 in the room at 744 Mount Pleasant Rd., and cover is $10 –a pretty cheap getaway if ever there was one!
