Man of many hats MacArthur on stage at Whitby Ribfest
\WHITBY\
A modern-day Renaissance man, Durham region songwriter, Country performer, karaoke host, bands promoter and booker, tournament-level 8-ball player, radio personality, would-be politician –and pet detective!— Rob MacArthur wears many hats.
But this afternoon the former owner of the Puck ‘n’ Beaver club in Ajax, where this writer had many a delightful moment during the first decade of this century before it closed, will be favouring headwear of the Stetson style as his Too Drunk To Fish Band takes to the stage at the Whitby Ribfest.
The band, fronted by MacArthur’s very talented wife Lorraine Davies, has several originals (including some of hers recorded on an album) but is most likely to stick mainly to Country and countrified Rock covers for today’s outdoor show that takes place at 1:30 in Iroquois Park on Victoria St. W. near Brock St. South in Whitby a stone’s throw from the Whitby GO station.
