Max Brand more often these days appears on stage at jams like the one at Dora Keogh Mondays or doing special appearances at benefits or as an opener.  But he also has his own self-titled band and tonight the singer of vintage Rock and Blues has an 8 p.m. show with them at a club known as Coalition on Augusta Ave. next door to Supermarket in the heart of downtown’s Kensington Market.

 

 

\ SCARBOROUGH \

It’s always a party when Al Reilly and his Catalyst band play Scarborough pub McGradie’s. Although the band lately has regular gigs all across the city and beyond, the Victoria Ave. pub is still basically their home away from home.  It seems every time they play there it’s a special occasion of some kind or another too, and tonight is no exception as several birthdays are being celebrated.  Diminutive but dynamic classic Rock singer Reilly often gets life partner Brenda Elaine up to share a tune (as well as other musical friends who may be in the audience) so  every show is also full of surprises and twists.
