It used to be that the Family Day weekend was a busy one for the Black Swan Tavern at 154 Danforth Ave., back when the Winterfolk Festival was held there and at other nearby venues for several years. To help fill that gap, Fernando “The Riverdale Kid” Curcione, in association with Stage Gems Entertainment, is putting on a multi-genre no-cover mini-festival of songwriters today 5p.m. - midnight at the club and Sunday from 3-10 p.m.

In addition to the Kid, songwriters Boris Buhot, Frank Wilks, John Stainton, Howard Linscott and many more have committed to appear, though a schedule hasn’t been released.
